LEGATE.
Supporting the Dr. Rau Foundation in your estate means continuing your commitment to the welfare of children far beyond your own lifetime.
Heritage.
The Dr. Rau Foundation can also be appointed as a co-heir, leaving it a certain share. Or it can be designated as the sole heir if there are no statutory compulsory heirs.
As co-heir:
“After payment of all compulsory portions, the Dr. Rau Foundation, Forchstrasse 280, 8008 Zurich, will receive the remaining estate.”
As sole heir:
“I appoint the Dr. Rau Foundation, Forchstrasse 280, 8008 Zurich, as my sole heir.”
Donation and legacy.
According to the law, a legacy is a gift made from an estate to a charitable institution. It should be noted that the bequest does not violate the statutory compulsory portions.
If you would like to make a bequest to the Dr. Rau Foundation, you can make a note of this in your will, for example:
“A bequest of CHF 15,000 from my estate is to be made to the Dr. Rau Foundation, Forchstrasse 280, 8008 Zurich.”
WHY SHOULD I INCLUDE THE DR. RAU FOUNDATION IN MY WILL?
As a medical foundation under the supervision of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, we strive to promote the health and well-being of children in the developing world. Through donations and legacies from committed people like you, we are able to continue our mission as defined by the founder and promote life-saving medical treatment options. Prevention also plays a special role in our work. Looking to the future, the Dr. Rau Foundation works tirelessly to research innovative treatment approaches and promote world-class medical education in third world countries. Thanks to your support, we can make progress that improves the quality of life of countless children. The Dr. Rau Foundation is involved in over 20 projects in the developing world. These are all smaller projects. You can choose to support individual projects or donate to the Dr. Rau Foundation as a whole.
We would of course also be delighted if you could leave a portion of your estate to our foundation. Your donation would make a lasting difference and benefit those children in need of medical help. Your contribution will have a significant and lasting impact. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on how you can help or if you have any questions about the Foundation. We are available to discuss your concerns and help you support a philanthropic initiative that lives up to your legacy.
